Bayles Pioneers Memorial
A memorial was erected in 1970 by Tony Pellissier and Joe Egan with the Bayles Progress Association. Mr Egan’s father, a swamp pioneer, had worked digging the Main Drain. Harkaway Avenue of Honour
The original 26 trees were planted in 1919, 40 years before the erection of the memorial stone.
