Bill Hudson was one of the first Councillors for the City of Berwick, he served for 8 years until 1981 and was Mayor from 1979-80. During that time he contributed greatly to the early development of the Municipality. His local knowledge was of great assistance to fellow Councillors and staff.
Bill was instrumental in enlarging the Berwick Mechanics Institute Library through Council funds and local contributions which was a great achievement.
A great believer in self help, he always supported committed local groups that showed dedication and a willingness to work and raise funds to provide better services to the community.
