Bayles Pioneers Memorial

A memorial was erected in 1970 by Tony Pellissier and Joe Egan with the Bayles Progress Association. Mr Egan’s father, a swamp pioneer, had worked digging the Main Drain. The plaque reminds us of the sacrifices of the early settlers and is an inspiration for those to come.
